what is asean contract

This is very important contract singed by indian goverment with asean nations.This is one of the major achivement of UPA govermnt lead by Dr.Manmohan singh.

ASEAN an overview

ASEAN(The Association of Southeast Asian Nations)
was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok by the five original Member Countries, namely,
Indonesia, Malaysia,
Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

The ASEAN Declaration states that the aims and purposes of the Association are:
(1) to accelerate economic growth, social progress and cultural development in the region and
(2) to promote regional peace and stability through abiding respect for justice and the
rule of law in the relationship among countries in the region and adherence to the
principles of the United Nations Charter.

ASEAN Member Countries have adopted the following fundamental principles in their relations with one another, as contained in the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in
Southeast Asia (TAC):

* mutual respect for the independence, sovereignty, equality, territorial integrity, and national identity of all nations;
* the right of every State to lead its national existence free from external interference, subversion or coercion;
* non-interference in the internal affairs of one another;
* settlement of differences or disputes by peaceful manner;
* renunciation of the threat or use of force; and effective cooperation among themselves.

asean and India

This contract favours GATT(General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) 24 Th article ;
which is all about ,

"This principle is the core principle in the GATT and it aims to eliminate discrimination in the world trade and to promote liberalisation of world trade. if a country gives favourable treatment to one country regarding a particular issue, it must handle all members equally regarding the same issue."

my view:

ASEAN contract pushes India to cut the rates of products import. This must do with in few years. Some countries allow time till 2019. exclusion list(negative table) is another term related to asean contract. This is a list that contains few products which are not included in 'free from import tariff'. 631 items included in negative table. coffee,tea,natural rubber are not included in this list. kerala opposition leader mr.Omman chandi points that it is possible to renew asean contract in each year.but practically this thing is not easy. because the asean follows the GATT contract this is all about tariff free treading. the next issue about this contract is about natural rubber. this is one of the major crops in kerala.UPA government include natural rubber in exclusive list.but they exclude rubber accessories from the list. fisher men in kerala cost fears that this contract sucks their daily income. alappuzha diocese already released a notice about this fear.

"finding new fields is good but a blind jump is not necessary now."
"actually we are going to face the race of big economical corporates,richer become rich average will be discarded"

More about:The Most Favoured Nation (MFN) principle is a cornerstone of the multilateral trading system conceived after World War II. It seeks to replace the frictions and distortions of power-based (bilateral) policies with the guarantees of a rules-based framework where trading rights do not depend on the individual participants’ economic or political clout. Rather, the best access conditions that have been conceded to one country must automatically be extended to all other participants in the system. This allows everybody to benefit, without additional negotiating effort, from concessions that may have been agreed between large trading partners with much negotiating leverage. Although the formation of Regional Trading Blocks has eroded the fundamental importance of the concept to some extent, it is still the most fundamental obligation on which the entire foundation of GATT and WTO rests. The MFN principle must be observed as a fundamental principle for sustaining the multilateral free trade system. Regional integration and related exceptions need to be carefully administered so as not to undermine the Most Favoured Nation principle as a fundamental principle of the WTO.

mom please read this...

A mother passing by her daughter's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "Mom." With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:

Dear Mom: It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new boyfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you. I've been finding real passion with Ahmed and he is so nice-even with all his piercings, tattoos, beard, and his motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion Mom, I'm pregnant and Ahmed said that we will be very happy. He already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too. Ahmed taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be growing it for us and trading it with his friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Ahmed can get better; he sure deserves it!! Don't worry Mom, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grand children.

Your daughter,

PS: Mom, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbor's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my report card that's in my desk center drawer. I love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home.

Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy PERSONAL SKETCH

"Natural leader who was loved equally by the public, his colleagues and the common man"-Dr.Manmohan Singh(prime minister,India)

Dr. Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is acclaimed - both by the National and the International figures that ever visited the State- as the best blend of an able administrator and the most loved leader of the masses. A family man to the core, Dr.YSR, rates the spirit of togetherness as the greatest cementing agent of Indian familial and social life.

Back ground

Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy hails from Pulivendula, a small town in Kadapa district of the backward Rayala Seema region. He comes from a family which stood for the cause of the downtrodden masses for generations daring the wrath of feudal lords of Kadapa district. His father Late Shree Y.S.Raja Reddy was known for his daredevilish temperament and mercurial
dynamism as a leader of the forlorn masses. Dr.YSR inherited these qualities from his father to emerge as a darling of the deprived in our State. Shree Y.S.Vivekananda Reddy, younger brother of Dr.YSR, also his “Man Friday”, got elected as a Samithi President, twice as MLA, twice as Member of Parliament from Kadapa Loksabha constituency who forms the main source of strength for Dr. YSR in and around the District.

(ysr signature)

Second son of Sri Raja Reddy, YSR - born on Eighth of July 1949 - was a natural heir to his father’s legacy. His father had always been a source of inspiration for YSR since his childhood. It was none other than Sri Raja Reddy who led YSR into active politics. If YSR had any role model in his earlier days it was his father. His brutal murder in 1998 inflicted a deep injury and left a dark scar on YSR’s heart. Graduated in medical science from M.R. College of Gulbarga, Dr. YSR practised medicine for sometime in the District. The hospital his father built for him at Pulivendula is still running. The YS family has also built and ran a degree college and a Polytechnic College at Pulivendula, for a few years which was later
handed over to the Loyola Group of Educational Instituitions.Another junior college at Simhadripuram, a small town in the vicinity of Pulivendula, is being run by YS family.

YSR, a disciplinarian to the core, gets up in the early hours and prepares himself for the grueling long day stretching for 16-17 hours. A health and hygiene conscious person he is, YSR is very particular about physical culture, yoga and meditation. A weightifter in his student days, his strong conviction is “A sound soul in a sound body”. YSR keeps on to his appointments on the dot while he never spared any one for complacence in this regard. Not many people know that YSR is keenly interested in reading fiction in English. He has a particular liking for light-reading material. He complains to his friends against his being deprived of the pleasure of reading. But, everything has its place in the disciplinarian’s world.

YSR is married to Smt. Vijayalakshmi in 1971 and is blessed with a son and a daughter. A proud-dad he is, YSR enjoys the company of his grand children to the brim- needless to mention here that he rarely finds any time to spare for his family members. His busy schedule hardly allows him to steal a few moments for his family. YSR’s son emerged a successful entrepreneur to the utmost pleasure of his father. Son Jagan Mohana Reddy, daughter Sharmila, and their children enjoy a very special place in YSR’s world.

kal ho na ho song english transilation
Life changes it's beauty all the time
Sometimes it’s a shade, sometimes life is sunlight.
Live every moment here to your heart’s content
The time that is here may not be tomorrow.

One who loves you whole-heartily
It is difficult meet that person
If there is someone like that somewhere
That person is more beautiful than all
Grab onto that (person’s) hand
He or she may not be so gracious tomorrow
Live every moment here to your heart’s content
The time that is here may not be tomorrow

Taking the shadow of your eyelashes, when someone comes near
You try to reason with your crazy heart
Your heart just goes on beating
But think, that which is here now
That story may not be here tomorrow
Life changes its beauty all the time
Sometimes it’s a shade, sometimes life is sunlight

Live every moment here to your heart’s content
The time that is here may not be tomorrow
The time that is here may not be tomorrow

I'm mad ,really mad
you're making me crazy.
who you're?

you're not an angel
but you're my heaven.

you're not a lamp

but you leads me when it dark.

you're not evening sun
but you make me warm.

your smile is simple
but it makes me happy.

you're not my love
but you teach me how to love.

"you're not my friend
but I'm you're friend.

1. Rules for being happy God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but he did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

2. Disappointments are like road bumps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards.
Don't stay on the bump too long. Move on! When you feel down because you didn't get what you want, just sit tight and be happy, because God is thinking of something better to give you.
When something happens to you, good or bad, consider what it means.
There's a purpose to life's events to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry as hard.

3. You can't make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved -- the rest is up to the other person to realize your worth.
The measure of love is when you love without measures. In life there are very rare chances that you'll meet the person you love who loves you in return.
So once you have it don't ever let go -- the chance might never come your way again.

It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride.

4. We spend so much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.
When you truly care for someone, you don't look for faults, you don't look for answers, you don't look for mistakes.
Instead, you fight the mistakes, you accept the faults and you overlook excuses.
Never abandon an old friend. You will never find one who can take his or her place. Friendship is like wine. It gets better as it grows older. Remember the five simple rules to being happy: Free your heart of hatred.

5. Free your mind from worries. Live simply. Give more. Expect less. No one can go back and make a brand new start. Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

An inverter is an electrical device that converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC);

the resulting AC can be at any required voltage and frequency with the use of appropriate transformers, switching, and control circuits.

Static inverters have no moving parts and are used in a wide range of applications, from small switching power supplies in computers, to large electric utility high-voltage direct current applications that transport bulk power. Inverters are commonly used to supply AC power from DC sources such as solar panels or batteries.

The electrical inverter is a high-power electronic oscillator. It is so named because early mechanical AC to DC converters were made to work in reverse, and thus were "inverted", to convert DC to AC.

The inverter performs the opposite function of a rectifier.

In one simple inverter circuit, DC power is connected to a transformer through the centre tap of the primary winding.

A switch is rapidly switched back and forth to allow current to flow back to the DC source following two alternate paths through one end of the primary winding and then the other.

The alternation of the direction of current in the primary winding of the transformer produces alternating current (AC) in the secondary circuit.

The switch in the simple inverter described above produces a square

voltage waveform as opposed to the sinusoidal waveform that is the usual waveform of an AC power supply.

Using Fourier analysis, periodic waveforms are represented as the sum of an infinite series of sine waves.

\mbox{THD} =  {\sqrt{V_2^2 + V_3^2 + V_4^2 + \cdots + V_n^2} \over V_1}

The sine wave that has the same frequency as the original waveform is called the fundamental component. T

he other sine waves, called harmonics that are included in the series have frequencies that are integral multiples of the fundamental frequency.

The quality of the inverter output waveform can be expressed by using the Fourier analysis data to calculate the total harmonic distortion (THD).

The total harmonic distortion is the square root of the sum of the squares of the harmonic voltages divided by the fundamental voltage:

\mbox{THD} =  {\sqrt{V_2^2 + V_3^2 + V_4^2 + \cdots + V_n^2} \over V_1}

The quality of output waveform that is needed from an inverter depends on the characteristics of the connected load. Some loads need a nearly perfect sine wave voltage supply in order to work properly. Other loads may work quite well with a square wave voltage.

Height score in oneday international ODI

Zimbabwe batsman break our expectations, old cricket legend Zimbabwe gives new star to inter national cricket world!.he is a middle order aggressive batsman, he played against India in 2005.

He's made 194, the 12-year record has been equalled. Saeed Anwar got the same score against India in Chennai during the Independence Cup in 1997. Coventry should have received more strike at the end, that couple by Utseya was not the right call. Coventry leads the players off the field, his team congratulates him with a guard of honour as he walks towards the pavilion. It is worth adding that Coventry gets to top the list of highest run-getter's in ODIs as he's remained unbeaten. Anwar was dismissed after making 194.
Charles Kevin Coventry

"It's a great feeling. I had a bit of luck early on, I suppose that's the way things go. It's staying a bit low, I'm sure we can defend it."

Coventry's short of words as he speaks, he can't contain his excitement.

Full name Charles Kevin Coventry

Born March 8, 1983, Kwekwe, Midlands

Current age 26 years 161 days

Major teams Zimbabwe, Matabeleland, Westerns, Zimbabwe Cricket Academy

Nickname Chappie

Batting style Right-hand bat

Bowling style Legbreak

Fielding position Wicketkeeper

Charles "Chappie" Coventry is an aggressive middle-order batsman who can open in one-day cricket and also keep wicket.

He was Zimbabwe's youngest first-class player at 15 years 303 days, for Matabeleland in 1998, although that was due to being in the right place when a selected player withdrew at the last minute.

Son of international umpire Charles Coventry, he learned his cricket at Whitestone School and Christian Brothers College in Bulawayo, and plays for Bulawayo Athletic Club.

He played for the national Under-19 team in the World Cup in 2002, when he was also a student at the CFX Academy.

He bats in glasses and most of his successes have been in one-day cricket; he has yet to learn to build major innings in first-class cricket.

He favours the lofted drive but as yet lacks the discipline required of a consistently successful batsman.

Despite this, he played two Tests against India in September 2005, after the withdrawal of most of Zimbabwe's top players, and did no worse than anybody else.

However, coach Kevin Curran reports that he was sent back from the West Indies tour for disciplinary reasons. He went to play club cricket in England and it remains to be seen whether he has a future in Zimbabwe cricket.

Facts about friendship day

The United States Congress, in 1935, proclaimed first Sunday of August as the National Friendship Day.

Since then, celebration of National Friendship Day became an annual event. The noble idea of honoring the beautiful relationship of friendship caught on with the people and soon Friendship Day became a hugely popular festival.

Books, like friends, should be few and well chosen.

Following the popularity and success of Friendship Day in US, several other countries adopted the tradition of dedicating a day to friends. Today, Friendship Day is enthusiastically celebrated by several countries across the world including India.

In 1997, the United Nations named Winnie - the Pooh as the world's Ambassador of Friendship.
  • 'D del Amigo' (The Spanish Friend's Day) is a celebration of friendship, held annually on July 20, mainly in Argentina and Uruguay.

  • The immortal song "With a Little Help from My Friends" by Beatles, that deals with the theme of friendship, was released in 1967.

"Women's Friendship Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of September."
