ZinQ is a Linux distribution created by a group of college students from College of Engineering and management Punnapra (Kerala India).ZinQ is basically created for distribute among college kids. Due to the large acceptance among common people the developers uploaded it into web so that anyone can download and use it.

The term ZinQ stands for "zinq is never quiet" just like "GNU-gnu is not unix'. this term initially used for denote a group of students . For doing project students find an Operating system platfom which is The Linux specially Ubuntu.

Beginning

Linux is very powerful operating system yet most of common people don't like to use it. students starts thinking why people don't like this Linux specially the Ubuntu. So the students start collecting information from their friends and family; at last they find that most of common people using windows and Linux is a quiet strange place to them. Also windows programs are just click and run manner make that's easy to use.

Linux normally used among advanced users like programmers. so the students start create a linux distribution based on Ubuntu which has a similar look and feel like windows yet they keep all the power of linux intact.

Dream comes true

ZinQ is not a replication of windows the developers says that "if people need exactly a windows from Linux then start using windows instead of Linux."

At last they build a distribution that is quiet easy to use for a beginner in Linux, because they followed the idea that user gets everything that he needed as pre-installed just like a mobile phone . so people feels free to use ZinQ

What kind of people may like ZinQ

the people who actually need a change and who are only use computer for office use, net-browsing ,watch movies and listen music will be feel free at ZinQ.

Internet connectivity and printer installation etc are easy in ZinQ. It includes four main web browsers and 500+ applications .

default account in ZinQ helps to being an administrator so home user gets more freedom to use and install new applications.

many windows applications are operational in ZinQ.still there exists small small problems related with running many games and softwares like Photoshop.

Some times after ZinQ install user may lose his windows boot menu.

Is it a problem with partions? no absolutely not.

Anyone can easily recover this problem. This is related to your monitors default resolution.

RECOVERY STEPS

1.make sure to sign into ZinQ.

2.click on start menu and type "burg"

3.now you can see the "burg-manger" in menu;click on it.

4.now burg-manger request to enter your password,please enter it.

5.now burg-manager opens, click on second tab 'parameters'

6.now you can see 'basic parameters'

7.click on menu under "choose the sutable resolution for your monitor..."

8.now a menu appers select a resolution sutable for your monitor (either 800X600 or 1024X768).

9.now click on 'set screen resolution

10.next click apply changes.

That's all.

Next time you can see a boot menu; it will wait for you a time span off 10 second. so that you can choose your operating system.

Introduction to 8086 Programming

(The 8086 microprocessor is one of the family of

8086,80286,80386,80486,Pentium,PentiumI,II,III .... also

referred to as the X86 family.)

Learning any imperative programming language involves

mastering a number of common concepts:

Variables: declaration/definition

Assignment: assigning values to variables

Input/Output: Displaying messages

Displaying variable values

Control flow: if-then

Loops

Subprograms: Definition and Usage

Programming in assembly language involves mastering the

same concepts and a few other issues.

Variables

For the moment we will skip details of variable declaration and

simply use the 8086 registers as the variables in our programs.

Registers have predefined names and do not need to be

declared.

The 8086 has 14 registers. Each of these is a 16-bit register.

Initially, we will use four of them – the so called the general

purpose registers:

ax, bx, cx, dx

These four 16-bit registers can also be treated as eight 8-bit

registers:

ah, al, bh, bl, ch, cl, dh, dl

Assignment

In Java, assignment takes the form:

x = 42 ;

y = 24;

z = x + y;

In assembly language we carry out the same operation but we

use an instruction to denote the assignment operator (“=” in

Java). The above assignments would be carried out in 8086

assembly langauge as follows

mov x, 42

mov y, 24

add z, x

add z, y

The mov instruction carries out assignment.

It which allows us place a number in a register or in a memory

location (a variable) i.e. it assigns a value to a register or

variable.

Example: Store the ASCII code for the letter A in register

bx.

mov bx, ‘A’

The mov instruction also allows you to copy the contents of

one register into another register.

Example:

mov bx, 2

mov cx, bx

The first instruction loads the value 2 into bx where it is stored

as a binary number. [a number such as 2 is called an integer

constant]

The Mov instruction takes two operands, representing the

destination where data is to be placed and the source of that

data.

General Form of Mov Instruction

mov destination, source

where destination must be either a register or memory location

and

source may be a constant, another register or a memory

location.

Note: The comma is essential. It is used to separate the two

operands.

A missing comma is a common syntax error.

Comments

Anything that follows semi-colon (;) is ignored by the

assembler. It is called a comment. Comments are used to

make your programs readable. You use them to explain what

you are doing in English.

More 8086 Instructions

add, inc, dec and sub instructions

The 8086 provides a variety of arithmetic instructions. For the

moment, we only consider a few of them. To carry out

arithmetic such as addition or subtraction, you use the

appropriate instruction.

In assembly language you can only carry out a single

arithmetic operation at a time. This means that if you wish to

evaluate an expression such as :

You will have to use 3 assembly language instructions – one

for each arithmetic operation.

These instructions combine assignment with the arithmetic

operation.

Example:

mov ax, 5 ; load 5 into ax

add ax, 3 ; add 3 to the contents of ax,

inc ax ; add 1 to ax

; ax now contains 9

dec ax ; subtract 1 from ax

; ax now contains 8

sub ax, 6 ; subtract 4 from ax

; ax now contains 2

The add instruction adds the source operand to the destination

operand, leaving the result in the destination operand.

The destination operand is always the first operand in 8086

assembly language.

The inc instruction takes one operand and adds 1 to it. It is

provided because of the frequency of adding 1 to an operand

in programming.

The dec instruction like inc takes one operand and subtracts 1

from it. This is also a frequent operation in programming.

The sub instruction subtracts the source operand from the

destination operand leaving the result in the destination

operand.

Load character ? into register bx

Load space character into register cx

Load 26 (decimal) into register cx

Copy contents of ax to bx and dx

ah, al, bh, bl and so on to represent the variables: a, b, c, z, x,

y, w, u, and v.

Implementing a loop: The jmp instruction

Label_X: add ax, 2

add bx, 3

jmp Label_X

The jmp instruction causes the program to start executing from

the position in the program indicated by the label Label_X. This

is an example of an endless loop.

We could implement a while loop using a conditional jump

instruction such as JL which means jumi-if-less-than. It is used

in combination with a comparision instruction – cmp.

mov ax, 0

Label_X: add ax, 2

add bx, 3

cmp ax, 10

jl Label_X

The above loop continues while the value of ax is less than 10.

The cmp instruction compares ax to 0 and records the result.

The jl instruction uses this result to determine whether to jump

to the point indicated by Label_X.

Input/Output

Each microprocessor provides instructions for I/O with the

devices that are attached to it, e.g. the keyboard and screen.

The 8086 provides the instructions in for input and out for

output. These instructions are quite complicated to use, so we

usually use the operating system to do I/O for us instead.

In assembly language we must have a mechanism to call the

operating system to carry out I/O.

In addition we must be able to tell the operating system what

kind of I/O operation we wish to carry out, e.g. to read a

character from the keyboard, to display a character or string on

the screen or to do disk I/O.

In 8086 assembly language, we do not call operating system

subprograms by name, instead, we use a software interrupt

mechanism

An interrupt signals the processor to suspend its current

activity (i.e. running your program) and to pass control to an

interrupt service program (i.e. part of the operating system).

A software interrupt is one generated by a program (as

opposed to one generated by hardware).

The 8086 int instruction generates a software interrupt.

It uses a single operand which is a number indicating which

MS-DOS subprogram is to be invoked.

For I/O and some other operations, the number used is 21h.

Thus, the instruction int 21h transfers control to the operating

system, to a subprogram that handles I/O operations.

This subprogram handles a variety of I/O operations by calling

appropriate subprograms.

This means that you must also specify which I/O operation

(e.g. read a character, display a character) you wish to carry

out. This is done by placing a specific number in a register.

The ah register is used to pass this information.

For example, the subprogram to display a character is

subprogram number 2h.

This number must be stored in the ah register. We are now in a

position to describe character output.

When the I/O operation is finished, the interrupt service

program terminates and our program will be resumed at the

instruction following int.

3.3.1 Character Output

The task here is to display a single character on the screen.

There are three elements involved in carrying out this

operation using the int instruction:

1. We specify the character to be displayed. This is done by

storing the character’s ASCII code in a specific 8086 register.

In this case we use the dl register, i.e. we use dl to pass a

parameter to the output subprogram.

2. We specify which of MS-DOS’s I/O subprograms we wish

to use. The subprogram to display a character is subprogram

number 2h. This number is stored in the ah register.

3. We request MS-DOS to carry out the I/O operation using

the int instruction. This means that we interrupt our program

and transfer control to the MS-DOS subprogram that we have

specified using the ah register.

Example 1: Write a code fragment to display the character ’a’

on the screen:

mov dl, ‘a‘ ; dl = ‘a‘

mov ah, 2h ; character output subprogram

int 21h ; call ms-dos output character

As you can see, this simple task is quite complicated in

assembly language.

3.3.2 Character Input

The task here is to read a single character from the keyboard.

A Complete Program

We are now in a position to write a complete 8086 program.

You must use an editor to enter the program into a file. The

process of using the editor (editing) is a basic form of word

processing. This skill has no relevance to programming.

We use Microsoft’s MASM and LINK programs for assembling

and linking 8086 assembly language programs. MASM

program files should have names with the extension (3

characters after period) asm.

We will call our first program prog1.asm, it displays the letter

‘a‘ on the screen. (You may use any name you wish. It is a

good idea to choose a meaningful file name). Having entered

and saved the program using an editor, you must then use the

MASM and LINK commands to translate it to machine code so

that it may be executed as follows:

C> masm prog1

If you have syntax errors, you will get error messages at this

point. You then have to edit your program, correct them and

repeat the above command, otherwise proceed to the link

command, pressing Return in response to prompts for file

names from masm or link.

The first three lines of the program are comments to give the

name of the file containing the program, explain its purpose,

give the name of the author and the date the program was

written.

The first two are directives, .model and .stack. They are

concerned with how your program will be stored in memory

and how large a stack it requires. The third directive, .code,

indicates where the program instructions (i.e. the program

code) begin.

For the moment, suffice it to say that you need to start all

assembly languages programs in a particular format (not

necessarily that given above. Your program must also finish in

a particular format, the end directive indicates where your

program finishes.

In the middle comes the code that you write yourself.

You must also specify where your program starts, i.e. which is

the first instruction to be executed. This is the purpose of the

label, start.

(Note: We could use any label, e.g. begin in place of start).

This same label is also used by the end directive.

When a program has finished, we return to the operating

system. Like carrying out an I/O operation, this is also

accomplished by using the int instruction. This time MS-DOS

subprogram number 4c00h is used.

It is the subprogram to terminate a program and return to MS-

DOS. Hence, the instructions:

int 21H ; Terminates program

Time-saving Tip

Since your programs will start and finish using the same

format, you can save yourself time entering this code for each

program. You create a template program called for example,

template.asm, which contains the standard code to start and

finish your assembly language programs. Then, when you wish

to write a new program, you copy this template program to a

new file, say for example, prog2.asm, as follows (e.g. using the

MS-DOS copy command):

You then edit prog2.asm and enter your code in the

hi everyone.. its since a long time I'm back to post in my blog. anyway now the time i like to share my new experience on linux operating system.
operating system
operating system is simply a set of programs which keeps other application programs( like movie player..or something like that ) work up on it. most of us familiar with the famous Gates OS 'Windows' .windows is produced by Microsoft the latest version of windows specially windows NT is 'windows 7'.

but still i liked to stick on in xp(previous commonly accepted version of windows) any way once i heard about Ubuntu, on that time i don't understand its a Linux distribution.later i installed that linux parallel with my xp in my hard disk.
like everyone i made it just for curiosity.

as everyone knows Linux comes under Software freedom concept. so most my friends believe that Linux is simply hard enough to understand for a normal person.but in my case i start using 'jaunty Linux'(2009 ubuntu distribution):

was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok by the five original Member Countries, namely,
Indonesia, Malaysia,
Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

(1) to accelerate economic growth, social progress and cultural development in the region and
(2) to promote regional peace and stability through abiding respect for justice and the

my view:

ASEAN contract pushes India to cut the rates of products import. This must do with in few years. Some countries allow time till 2019. exclusion list(negative table) is another term related to asean contract. This is a list that contains few products which are not included in 'free from import tariff'. 631 items included in negative table. coffee,tea,natural rubber are not included in this list. kerala opposition leader mr.Omman chandi points that it is possible to renew asean contract in each year.but practically this thing is not easy. because the asean follows the GATT contract this is all about tariff free treading. the next issue about this contract is about natural rubber. this is one of the major crops in kerala.UPA government include natural rubber in exclusive list.but they exclude rubber accessories from the list. fisher men in kerala cost fears that this contract sucks their daily income. alappuzha diocese already released a notice about this fear.

A mother passing by her daughter's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "Mom." With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:

Dear Mom: It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new boyfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you. I've been finding real passion with Ahmed and he is so nice-even with all his piercings, tattoos, beard, and his motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion Mom, I'm pregnant and Ahmed said that we will be very happy. He already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too. Ahmed taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be growing it for us and trading it with his friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Ahmed can get better; he sure deserves it!! Don't worry Mom, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grand children.

Back ground

Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy hails from Pulivendula, a small town in Kadapa district of the backward Rayala Seema region. He comes from a family which stood for the cause of the downtrodden masses for generations daring the wrath of feudal lords of Kadapa district. His father Late Shree Y.S.Raja Reddy was known for his daredevilish temperament and mercurial
dynamism as a leader of the forlorn masses. Dr.YSR inherited these qualities from his father to emerge as a darling of the deprived in our State. Shree Y.S.Vivekananda Reddy, younger brother of Dr.YSR, also his “Man Friday”, got elected as a Samithi President, twice as MLA, twice as Member of Parliament from Kadapa Loksabha constituency who forms the main source of strength for Dr. YSR in and around the District.

Legacy

Second son of Sri Raja Reddy, YSR - born on Eighth of July 1949 - was a natural heir to his father’s legacy. His father had always been a source of inspiration for YSR since his childhood. It was none other than Sri Raja Reddy who led YSR into active politics. If YSR had any role model in his earlier days it was his father. His brutal murder in 1998 inflicted a deep injury and left a dark scar on YSR’s heart. Graduated in medical science from M.R. College of Gulbarga, Dr. YSR practised medicine for sometime in the District. The hospital his father built for him at Pulivendula is still running. The YS family has also built and ran a degree college and a Polytechnic College at Pulivendula, for a few years which was later
handed over to the Loyola Group of Educational Instituitions.Another junior college at Simhadripuram, a small town in the vicinity of Pulivendula, is being run by YS family.

Disciplinarian

YSR, a disciplinarian to the core, gets up in the early hours and prepares himself for the grueling long day stretching for 16-17 hours. A health and hygiene conscious person he is, YSR is very particular about physical culture, yoga and meditation. A weightifter in his student days, his strong conviction is “A sound soul in a sound body”. YSR keeps on to his appointments on the dot while he never spared any one for complacence in this regard. RAM the eldest was a MICROCHIP with excellent MEMORY. His brothers, however, were only PERIPHERAL ICs. Once when RAM was only 16MB, he married princess C ta.

12years passed and DOS-rat decided to INSTALL RAM as his successor.
However,Queen CIE/CAE(Kayegayee), who was once offered a boon by DOS-rat for a lifesaving HELP COMMAND,
took this opportunity at the instigation of her BIOSed maid and insisted that her son
Bug-rat be INSTALLED and that RAM be CUT-N-PASTED to the forest for 14 years.

In the midst of the clamor, RAIN began to speak: "You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves, each trying to dominate the rest. Don't you know you were each made for a special purpose, unique and different? Join hands with one another and come to me."

Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined hands. The rain continued: "From now on, when it rains, each of you will stretch across the sky in a great bow of colors as a reminder that you can all live in peace. i make my some private folders hide. after some days i fond i cant make unhidden.
if i do unhidden every time the system doesn't responding. i wondered , i searched for reason .
i can see the folder by using search option by windows.

at last i found there is some folders contain the same name folder inside it.if u right click on it u can see 'Run as '.if u check the extension of the file u can find that is an .exe file.

wondered, yes the system s affected by newfolder.exe via some sort of pen drives .
if u re install windows u may find problems in driver sections like cannot open properly.

i solve the problem by installing kaspersky2009. this is good.
try it.

i tried to change my blog template by useing bloggers own templates ,but i noticed some unwnted links under the blogname.that is not a gadget.if u now change the theme u will find the same result.then the real question arises how should i getrid these thing(links)? what u think.

It is a little hard to determine what was the first portable or laptop computer, the first portable computers did not look like the book-sized and folding laptops that we are familiar with today, however, they were both portable and lapable, and lead to the development of notebook style laptops. I have outlined several potential firsts below and how each qualifies, many of the off-site links provide good photos of the computers that will let you see the progression in design.

The First Laptop? Maybe
Designed in 1979 by a Briton, William Moggridge, for Grid Systems Corporation, the Grid Compass was one fifth the weight of any model equivalent in performance and was used by NASA on the space shuttle program in the early 1980's. A 340K byte bubble memory lap-top computer with die-cast magnesium case and folding electroluminescent graphics display screen.

Gavilan Computer As The First Laptop?
Manny Fernandez had the idea for a well-designed laptop for executives who were starting to use computer. Fernandez, who started Gavilan Computer, promoted his machines as the first "laptop" computers in May 1983. Many historians consider the Gavilan as the first fully functional laptop computer.

The First Laptop Computer - Osborne 1
The computer considered by most historians to be the first true portable computer was the Osborne 1. Adam Osborne, an ex-book publisher founded Osborne Computer and produced the Osborne 1 in 1981, a portable computer that weighed 24 pounds and cost $1795. The Osborne 1 came with a five-inch screen, modem port, two 5 1/4 floppy drives, a large collection of bundled software programs, and a battery pack. More History of Laptop Firsts

Also released in 1981, was the Epson HX-20, a battery powered portable computer, with a 20-character by 4 line LCD display and a built-in printer.
In January of 1982, Microsoft's Kazuhiko Nishi and Bill Gates begin discussions on designing a portable computer, based on using a new liquid crystal display or LCD screen. Kazuhiko Nishi later showed the prototype to Radio Shack who agree to manufacture the computer.
In 1983, Radio Shack released the TRS-80 Model 100, a 4 lb. battery operated portable computer with a flat and more of a laptop design.
In February 1984, IBM announced the IBM 5155 Portable Personal Computer.
Three years later in 1986, Radio Shack released the improved and smaller TRS Model 200.
In 1988, Compaq Computer introduces its first laptop PC with VGA graphics - the Compaq SLT/286.
In 1989, NEC UltraLite was released, considered by some to be the first "notebook style" computer. It was a laptop size computer which weighed under 5 lbs. (second photo)
In September 1989, Apple Computer released the first Macintosh Portable that later evolved into the Powerbook. (second photo)
In 1989, Zenith Data Systems released the Zenith MinisPort, a 6-pound laptop computer. (more Zenith laptops)
In October 1989, Compaq Computer released its first notebook PC, the Compaq LTE.
In March 1991, Microsoft released the Microsoft BallPoint Mouse that used both mouse and trackball technology in a pointing device designed for laptop computers.
In October 1991, Apple Computers released the Macintosh PowerBook 100, 140, and 170 - all notebook style laptops. (more on Powerbooks)
In October 1992, IBM released its ThinkPad 700 laptop computer.
In 1992, Intel and Microsoft release APM or the Advanced Power Management specification for laptop computers.
In 1993, the first PDAs or Personal Digital Assistants are released. PDAs are pen-based hand-held computers.

The early foundations of what would become computer science predate the invention of the modern digital computer. Machines for calculating fixed numerical tasks, such as the abacus, have existed since antiquity. Wilhelm Schickard built the first mechanical calculator in 1623.[4] Charles Babbage designed a difference engine in Victorian times (between 1837 and 1901)[5] helped by Ada Lovelace.[6] Around 1900, the IBM corporation sold punch-card machines.[7] However, all of these machines were constrained to perform a single task, or at best some subset of all possible tasks.

During the 1940s, as newer and more powerful computing machines were developed, the term computer came to refer to the machines rather than their human predecessors. As it became clear that computers could be used for more than just mathematical calculations, the field of computer science broadened to study computation in general. Computer science began to be established as a distinct academic discipline in the 1960s, with the creation of the first computer science departments and degree programs.[8] Since practical computers became available, many applications of computing have become distinct areas of study in their own right.

Many initially believed it impossible that "computers themselves could actually be a scientific field of study" (Levy 1984, p. 11), though it was in the "late fifties" (Levy 1984, p.11) that it gradually became accepted among the greater academic population. It is the now well-known IBM brand that formed part of the computer science revolution during this time. IBM (short for International Business Machines) released the IBM 704 and later the IBM 709 computers, which were widely used during the exploration period of such devices. "Still, working with the IBM [computer] was frustrating...if you had misplaced as much as one letter in one instruction, the program would crash, and you would have to start the whole process over again" (Levy 1984, p.13). During the late 1950s, the computer science discipline was very much in its developmental stages, and such issues were commonplace.

Time has seen significant improvements in the useability and effectiveness of computer science technology. Modern society has seen a significant shift from computers being used solely by experts or professionals to more a more widespread user base. By the 1990s, computers became accepted as being the norm within everyday life. During this time data entry was a primary component of the use of computers, many preferring to streamline their business practices through the use of a computer. This also gave the additional benefit of removing the need of large amounts of documentation and file records which consumed much-needed physical space within offices.
